Q: What is your style of filming and editing?
- At Larissa Mae Productions, we believe in capturing the raw, candid moments of your wedding day in a timeless and simplistic way. We prioritize natural emotions and interactions over flashy effects or transitions, so that you can relive the sweet words, laughter, and joy shared with your loved ones for years to come. We take a documentary-style approach to filming, but we also incorporate cinematic elements to create a beautiful, cinematic look and feel. Above all, we work closely with our clients to understand their vision and preferences, so that we can create a wedding video that truly reflects their personalities and love story. Q: What's included in your wedding video package?
- We provide many different services when it comes to your wedding film. We offer our base package and from there you can add any additional services such as a longer length of film, ceremony edit, toast edit, extra hours needed for filming the day of, raw footage and more! Q: Do you also offer wedding photography services?
- At Larissa Mae Productions, we specialize in videography, but we also offer photography as an additional service to our packages. We understand the importance of capturing every moment of your special day, and that's why we bring a talented photographer onboard to help us preserve those memories in both photo and film. With our combined expertise, we're able to provide you with a complete and unforgettable experience.
Q: How long will my wedding video be?
- At Larissa Mae Productions, we offer a range of video lengths to suit your needs and preferences. Our highlight film options include a 6-minute, 8-minute, 10-minute, and 20-minute film. We also offer ceremony and toast edits, which showcase the entirety of those events and typically range from 15-25 minutes and 10-30 minutes, respectively. The length of each video depends on factors such as the amount of footage captured, the events that took place, and your specific preferences. Each video length offers its own unique benefits, from more detailed storytelling in a longer highlight film to a focus on the most important moments and emotions in a shorter one. Above all, we're committed to working closely with you to create a wedding video that truly reflects your love story and meets your specific needs, even if it doesn't fit into one of our standard lengths.
Q: How many videographers will be filming my wedding?
- We believe in capturing every moment of your wedding day from multiple angles and perspectives. For our Elopement Wedding Videography package, you have the option of adding an additional videographer to ensure that we don't miss a single detail of your special day. With our Full Coverage Wedding Videography Package, we start with two videographers and couples have the option to add more to their package if desired. Having multiple videographers allows us to capture all the important moments from different angles and perspectives, resulting in a more dynamic and comprehensive video. Our team is experienced in working together seamlessly to ensure that we capture all the important moments without getting in the way or disrupting the flow of the day. We also offer options and add-ons, additional videographers or extended hours, for couples who may want additional coverage.
Q: How do you handle audio during the ceremony and reception?
- Audio is just as important as visuals when it comes to capturing the essence of your wedding day. We use a variety of audio devices, including shotgun mics, lapel mics, and DJ plugins, to ensure that we capture every important sound. During the ceremony, we typically mic up the groom and officiant with black lapel mics, but we also have a white lapel mic available if the bride needs to be miced up as well. We take great care to ensure that everything is set up and tested well before the ceremony starts, and we do the same for the reception. We have multiple backup audio devices to make sure that no matter what happens, we capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments. We also offer additional audio coverage options, such as recording speeches or vows separately, for couples who want even more coverage of their special day.
Q: Will you be using additional lighting or equipment during the wedding?
- Lighting is essential to capturing the mood and ambiance of your wedding day. We have a range of lighting equipment available, including spot lights, panel lights, and portable box lights. We assess the lighting situation in your venue and surrounding areas to determine the best equipment and setup for each part of the day. For example, we might use a spot light during the first dance to create a romantic and intimate feel, or a panel light during the ceremony to ensure even lighting on the couple and wedding party. We also work with natural light to create beautiful, authentic shots that reflect the setting and atmosphere of your wedding day. Additionally, we use equipment such as stabilizers and drones to capture a variety of shots and perspectives throughout the day. Whatever the lighting situation, we are committed to making sure that your wedding film looks stunning and true to the spirit of your special day.
Q: How long will it take to receive my wedding video?
- We know that waiting for your wedding video can be a bit nerve-wracking, but we promise that the final product will be worth the wait! Depending on the volume of weddings we have booked at the time of your wedding and the services you request from our A La Carte options, turnaround time for the final product can range from 2-5 months. However, we will keep you updated on the progress of your video throughout the editing process, so you'll always know what stage we're at and when to expect the finished product. We typically capture hours of footage during your wedding day, and we take the time to carefully sort through and select the best shots for your final video. We also put a lot of time and care into the editing process to ensure that the final product is of the highest quality. So while the wait may be a bit longer than you'd like, we guarantee that you'll be thrilled with the beautiful and memorable wedding video that you receive.
Q: Can I choose the music for my wedding video?
- Great question! Yes, you can definitely choose the music for your wedding video. We offer a wide range of licensed music through our partner site at Musicbed. You can browse their selection by going to https://www.musicbed.com/ and selecting the songs that speak to you. We recommend selecting a few different songs to help us create the perfect soundtrack for your video. We want to ensure that the music we choose helps to enhance the emotional tone of your wedding day and reflects your unique personalities as a couple.

Q: What if I can't find a song that I like in my wedding film?
- Great question! I understand that finding the perfect song for your wedding film can be overwhelming, especially with so many options available. If you are having trouble finding a song that you like, don't worry, I am here to help! You can let me know what genre or style of music you are looking for and I can suggest some options for you to consider. Alternatively, you can provide me with some example songs or popular artists that you would like to fit the vibe of your film and I can work from there. Finally, I can also find a song myself based on the style and feel of your wedding, so you can rest assured that your video will have the perfect soundtrack to match the mood and tone of your special day.
Q: Do you offer any add-ons or a same-day edit?
- Yes, we offer several add-ons that you can include in your wedding videography package to enhance your overall experience. Some popular add-ons include additional hours of coverage and raw footage delivery. You can also customize your package with our A La Carte menu where you can choose from various options such as a separate ceremony edit, toast edit, or a social media teaser. While we do not offer same-day edits, we believe in taking the time to craft a beautiful and thoughtful film that tells the story of your special day in the best way possible. Q: Do you offer drone coverage?
- Yes, we offer drone coverage included in all our packages! With our FAA certification, we can capture stunning aerial footage that adds a unique and cinematic perspective to your wedding film. Our team is FAA certified for flying drones and we make sure to follow all the necessary regulations for safe and legal drone usage. However, there are some limitations and restrictions to where we can fly the drone such as national parks, airports within a certain range, and military bases. If we are unable to use the drone due to these restrictions, we will still make an effort to include drone footage that we have previously shot that showcases the location or try to fly the drone in areas that are not restricted to enhance your wedding film.
Q: How much experience do you have filming weddings?
- Weddings are our primary focus and passion. I have over 7 years of experience in videography, with the last 5 years dedicated solely to filming weddings. My journey began with filming videos for Western Governors University, and I've since worked on various projects, including real estate videos, short documentaries, commercials, and travel videos. However, I found my true passion in wedding videography. I love the art of storytelling and weddings provide a perfect platform to capture diverse love stories.
Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?
- To reserve your wedding date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit. If you need to cancel your wedding, we will not refund your deposit. However, if you need to reschedule your date and we are available, we can switch your date without any added fees or loss of deposit. Please note that availability is limited, so it's important to check with us first. If we are not available for your rescheduled date, an official cancellation of the service client agreement will be terminated, and the deposit will not be refunded.
Q: How do you communicate with clients throughout the wedding planning process?
- We believe that communication is key in creating a successful and stress-free wedding videography experience. To ensure that we capture your day perfectly, we begin by sending you our Wedding Videography Questionnaire a month or two before your wedding date. This is where you can fill us in on all the important details of your day, including address locations, event times, parking instructions, special moments or items that you want us to capture, and contact information for your wedding coordinator and photographers.
Once you've filled out the questionnaire, we will set up a time to chat a few weeks before your wedding to go over everything and make sure we have everything we need. Throughout the planning process, we are always available to answer any questions you may have and will keep you updated on our progress. We are also happy to communicate via email, phone, or video chat, whichever is most convenient for you. Our goal is to make sure that you are confident and comfortable with our services and that we are capturing your day in the way you envision it.
